Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) is an approach to communication, personal development, and psychotherapy. It encompasses the three most influential components involved in producing human experience: neurology, language and programming. The neurological system regulates how our bodies function, language determines how we interface and communicate with other people and our programming determines the kinds of models of the world we create.
Neuro-Linguistic Programming describes the fundamental dynamics between mind (neuro) and language (linguistic) and how their interplay affects our body and behavior (programming). NLP provides a powerful insight and a model of understanding of how language influences the thoughts, behaviour, health and performance of groups and individuals.
It is a method of influencing brain behaviour (the "neuro" part of the phrase) through the use of language (the "linguistic" part) and other types of communication to enable a person to "recode" the way the brain responds to stimuli (that's the "programming") and manifest new and better behaviours.
What you see, what you hear, what you taste, what you smell and what you feel makes up the natural subconscious language of the mind.
NLP not only provides tools to use these processes to understand HOW success is produced, NLP provides tools to build and produce success in different people in different areas of life.
